Bharatnatyam

Srikanteshwara Kala Kendra, founded in 1987 by Vid. Shamala Aswath and the late H. C. Aswath, has been a beacon of artistic excellence for over 35 years. Vid. Shamala Aswath has dedicated her life to teaching Bharatanatyam, Veena, and vocal music, shaping the artistic journey of countless students. Her own journey in the arts began at the age of seven when she started learning Bharatanatyam under Guru N. N. Bhaskar and Veena under Guru Rajalakshmi Tirunarayanan. She went on to earn a Vidwath certification in Bharatanatyam from KSSEB and holds a Master's degree in instrumental Veena. Though she pursued a Bachelor of Science degree, her passion for the arts ultimately became her profession. She began teaching Bharatanatyam and Veena in Mastikatte, Shimoga district, in 1987. Later, she moved to Udupi, where she trained over 80 students before establishing her presence in Bangalore in 1995. Bharatnatyam Guru

Vidhushi Gowri Sagar is a gold medallist in Master’s Degree Bharatanatyam from Jain University. She is an ‘A’ grade artist of Doordashan . Gowri is an empanelled artist of ICCR and SpicMacay .. Gowri Sagar is an acclaimed Bharatanatyam dancer who began her initial training at the age of 5. Her mother Vidhushi Smt Shamala Aswath is her first Guru. Gowri’s tutelage continued with her mother for many years. Her passion for dance took a deeper root when she started her training from Guru late Sri B.R. Thulasiram. Gowri is now the disciple of Guru Sri Sathyanarayana Raju and hones her expertise under his guidance. Gowri is also trained in Classical music and Nattuvanga. Gowri is also a yoga practioner and trainer. Gowri is the dance director of Srikanteshwara Kala kendra & trains many young art enthusiasts. She is conferred with Aryabhata award, Natyakalaa Praveene award, Nalanda Nruthya Nipuna from Nalanda University Mumbai Vocational Excellence Award. Suchetha Venkataramaiah, is a talented and passionate dancer who excels in traditional Indian dance form Kathak and also in contemporary and freestyle dancing. She began her journey in dance at a young age and has dedicated years to perfecting her craft, grace and precision. She channels the rich history and cultural significance of Kathak through her performances, captivating audiences with her storytelling and technical prowess. In addition to Kathak, Suchetha is also skilled in contemporary dance, allowing her to explore a wide range of movement styles and artistic expressions. She will be teaching Contemprory, Bollywood, Semi-classical and also will be assisting her Guru Vidhushi Veena Bhat in training Kathak in our prestigeous institution. Vidhushi Veena Bhat (KATHAK GURU)
With a career spanning over more than four decades, this veteran dancer has mesmerized audiences worldwide with her breathtaking technique, captivating stage presence, and profound emotional depth. A master of Kathak , Vidhushi Veena Bhat  has had the privilege of performing with renowned companies and collaborating with celebrated choreographers, earning numerous awards along the way. Her dedication, passion, and tireless pursuit of excellence have inspired generations of dancers and she has sowed the dream of dance in many minds. Currently Vidhushi Veena bhat is the artistic director of Nrityadarpan a premier institution dedicated to fostering a love for dance and promoting artistic excellence. She will be teaching Kathak in our institute training all curious minds to reach their abilities to the fullest.

Thrisha Pandari (CONTEMPORARY TEACHER)
Thrisha had the opportunity to train in contemporary dance for half decade. Throughout this period, she was exposed to various techniques and styles within contemporary dance. She is trained under Karthik Tantri. In addition to her contemporary dance training, she also participated in the ‘Toolbox and Toolbox Creation’ course at Dhurii Space. This course was particularly transformative, as it focused on developing a personalized ‘toolbox’ of movement techniques and strategies. She will be teaching contemporary in our esteemed institution which will allow artistic minds to deepen their strength and vocabulary.

Sainath Ballari (HIPHOP TEACHER)
Sai is a passionate dancer and choreographer with a decade of experience in the dance world. His journey began with learning the art of dance and teaching in Vijayapura, and over the years. He has expanded his skills through extensive travel across various cities like Gujarat, Mumbai, Pune, and more. Each place and experience has contributed to his growth. He will be teaching Hiphop in our institute where he will bring out new creations with growing students.
